Terms & privacy
These terms cover this website and the DinoFrontier Minecraft servers (the hub, survival and parks servers, on Java and Bedrock). By playing on the servers, making an account or donating, you agree to them. We’ve kept them in plain language; if anything is unclear, ask us.
Who we are
DinoFrontier is a community Minecraft server. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Your use of Minecraft itself is covered by the Minecraft EULA, which applies on our servers too.
Playing on the servers
- Follow the server rules posted in game and on our Discord. Staff can warn, mute, kick or ban players who break them, and decide how to enforce them.
- No cheats, hacked clients, exploits or duplication glitches. If you find a bug, report it rather than using it.
- In-game items, currency, claims, dinosaurs and pets have no real-world value. They can’t be sold or traded for real money, and we may adjust or reset them, for example to fix an exploit or balance the economy.
- We work hard to keep the servers up and your progress safe, but we can’t promise they’ll always be online, and worlds may occasionally be rolled back or reset. We’ll announce planned resets in advance.
Your builds and parks
What you build is yours. By building on our servers you let us show it: open parks appear on the Park Builder board with their name, your player name, stats and a map render, and we may use screenshots or footage of the world in trailers and posts. Close your park to take it off the board. We may remove builds, park names or messages that are offensive or break the rules.
Donations and supporter ranks
Donations pay for hosting and development. Prices are in US dollars, and payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Ranks. When you buy a rank you name the Java username or Bedrock gamertag it’s for. You don’t need an account, and you can buy one for a friend. Check the name before paying: we can’t move a rank to another player afterwards. Ranks last as long as the server runs.
- Perks. Ranks are a thank-you. We may change perks over time to keep the game fair, but we won’t take away a rank you paid for. Ranks don’t exempt anyone from the rules, and a ban for breaking them doesn’t refund a rank.
- Monthly donations. These need an account and renew each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account page; you won’t be charged again, and the current month isn’t refunded.
- Refunds. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us within 14 days and we’ll refund it. A refunded rank is removed in game. Opening a chargeback instead removes the rank and may lead to a ban while we sort it out.
Under 18? Ask a parent or guardian before donating.
Your account
You can sign up with an email and password, or with Discord. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens on your account. You can link one Minecraft player to your account with a code from in game, and unlink it from your account page at any time. You need to be at least 13 to make an account.
What we collect
On the website:
- Your email, display name and a hashed password (or your Discord ID if you sign in with Discord).
- The IP address and browser of each signed-in session, so you stay signed in and we can spot abuse.
- Your linked Minecraft username and UUID.
- A record of each donation: amount, date, what it was for, the email Stripe gives us, and the player it was for.
- The name and message you chose to show on the supporter wall, if you opted in.
On the game servers:
- Your Minecraft username, UUID and IP address, which every Minecraft server receives when you join.
- Chat and commands, kept in server logs for moderation.
- Your gameplay data: inventory, balance, homes, claims, pets, dinosaurs and parks.
We use this to run the servers and the site, deliver ranks, enforce the rules and keep things secure. Nothing else.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your data. Some services handle part of it for us:
- Stripe processes payments and keeps its own payment records.
- Discord, if you sign in with it.
- Mojang, playerdb.co and GeyserMC, which look up the player name you type when buying a rank so we find the right UUID.
- Our email provider, which sends sign-up, password reset and receipt emails.
- Google Cloud, which hosts the website, database and game servers.
We’ll also share data if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use a single sign-in cookie and no tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe’s checkout page sets its own cookies for fraud prevention.
How long we keep it
We keep account data until you delete your account. Donation records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and tax. When you delete your account, they stay but are no longer linked to you. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Server logs and gameplay data are kept while the server runs, and bans may be kept longer so banned players can’t just come back.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and data. Contact no-reply@dinofrontier.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can unlink your Minecraft player from your account page yourself.
Changes and the small print
We may update these terms as the server grows. When we make a big change we’ll post it on Discord and update the date at the top. The servers and site are provided as they are, without guarantees, and as far as the law allows we aren’t liable for lost items, progress or downtime.
